Route optimization R&D Engineer

We are looking for a junior researcher to join our Science & Technology department. Under the responsibility of senior researchers, the innovation manager and involved in a highly-skilled team, you will contribute in the development of weather routing algorithms for the shipping industry. D-ICE has also strong R&D projects on the importance of weather routing for the WASP (Wind Assisted Ship Propulsion) sector you will be involved in. With a technical background in hydrodynamic or applied mathematics, scientific paper writing, and an attraction for innovative research projects, you are passionate about the oceans and aim to involve yourself in a company developing innovative products and services to develop clean and renewable energies and improve safety and security at sea.

Your Background - High-school of engineering or Master’s degree / PhD in Naval Engineering or Applied Mathematics Your Skills - Python, c++ - Software engineering, Git - Knowledge in graph theory - Proactive - Curious and autonomous - Scientific writing skills - Good communication skills - Good level in English
