OCEANiCS – Intelligent Navigation System

The OCEANiCS system is a powerful full-purposes navigation system designed to meet the highest requirements.

Resulting from several years of Research and Development and still in active development, OCEANiCS helps the operators and shipowners to secure the operations, to optimise the operational efficiency and to reduce costs.


Ecdis: ECDIS is a type-approved system devoted to the display of the navigation charts, planning and monitoring of routes. Developed in close collaboration with the ENSM, the french Maritime Academy, our system is designed to maximise the operators experience as well as securing the operations.

Autopilot: Our autopilot is certified IEC 62065 type approved system (HCS and TCS). Advanced algorithms allow to control all kind of thrusters, rudders of wind propulsion systems.

Dynamic Positioning (DP): Our DP system is built over the most advanced navigation and control algorithms, allowing to improve the accuracy of the operations, reduce the fuel consumption without compromise on the safety.

Decision Support

Weather Routing: Our disruptive system allows to efficiently plan the voyage of any kind of vessels (conventional, sailing ships, hybrid vessels). Based on the most advanced multi-objective optimisation algorithms, our system helps the operators to cut their fuel consumption up to 30% for wind assisted vessels.

Digital Twin: Based on several years of research and built over the most advanced hydrodynamics frameworks, we are building high-fidelity numerical models allowing shipowners to master their assets and their operations.

Decision Support: Our modular platform allows to integrate any kind of additional visualisation and decision support modules helping captains and operators to conduct all critical operations (boatlanding, heavy lifting, etc.).

Engineering Support

Marine Grade Hardware: Our system is built over high-grade maritime approved hardware meeting the highest requirements (IEC60945, DNV 2.4).

Training: We offer dedicated and tailored services for our systems. Our advanced virtual environment in our facility allows to train operators with a immersive experience.

Support: Our engineering team is able to provide consultancy and services for any kind of critical operations. From metocean analysis to operational guidelines, our team is able to support the shipowners and the operators during the full life of the assets.

Application cases

Our system is perfectly adapted for high-end requirements such as for offshore vessels as well as for the new challenges of the Wind-Assisted Vessels towards the decarbonisation of the maritime transportation sector.

Offshore Vessels

Our systems meet the following rules and regulations. Maritime Equipment Directive (MED) Type Approval are pending following certification tests procedure done by Bureau Veritas.
