Senior Business Developer

D-ICE Engineering is looking for a Senior Business Developer who is passionate about the maritime sector, with more than 7 years of experience. You will be responsible for developing sales strategies, leading a network of business partners and managing contracts in an innovative environment. A strong interest in technologies and experience in the marine/offshore sectors are a plus.

About us

D-ICE Engineering is a deep-tech company founded in 2015 in Nantes. Our mission is to address three major challenges in the maritime sector: reducing the carbon footprint, enhancing safety at sea, and promoting clean energy production. To achieve this, we rely on a diverse range of expertise, including multiphysics simulation, scientific software development, marine engineering, and advanced navigation systems.

Today, the company has approximately 40 engineers and PhDs specializing in hydrodynamics, applied mathematics, robotics, control systems, and software engineering.

In 2024, D-ICE successfully raised €6 million in funding, marking a significant milestone in accelerating the commercialization of high-impact solutions for the maritime industry, thereby contributing to a more sustainable and decarbonized future.

About the position

After many years of research and development, the company has successfully put on the market several products. In collaboration with our general direction and the technical teams, you will be in charge of multidisciplinary tasks including, with evolving responsibilities :

  • Competitive analysis/intelligence and identification of sales opportunities in our core markets for our different products & services
  • Develop and continuously improve global sales strategies
  • Contribution of business development activities follow-up, tools (CRM, etc.) and offerings
  • Develop and animate a network of business partners (distributors, representatives, business providers, etc.)
  • Propose and implement promotion and lobbying action plans
  • Full-cycle offers management together with technical managers & general direction
  • Management of sales administration requirements (clearances, etc.) and contract management (IP/variation orders/etc.)
  • Participation in trade shows / events and company representation

Required Skills

Passionate by the ocean and the maritime world, you have more than 7 years of experience in sales & business development

  • MSc Degree (In Engineering or Business)
  • Excellent communication, presentation skills
  • Excellent level of English
  • Versatility, responsiveness and sense of priorities
  • Excellent relational and writing skills
  • "geek"/tech-savvy

Ideally you already have an experience in a startup-type environment and in the maritime/offshore sectors.
